The archipelago along the coast of Svealand, of Finland proper, West Nyland and Åland with the help of EU subsidies will obtain a distinctive image. By the year 2006 the programme Interreg IIIA, together with the inhabitants of the archipelago themselves, will form an entity the Skargarden which will become as well known as the Alps.
This will be obtained by the continual concentration on taste and quality. Those who visit the Skargarden will do so with the assurance that the experience will be something to cherish and remember.
Interreg IIIA has been created to contribute to a lasting development of the Skargarden. The key words are quality, parity and the environment. The aim is that new enterprises and places of work shall be created with the help of hard work and with support from the community.
In order to help create a durable future in the Skargarden resources must be provided. These resources are now available by means of Interreg IIIA.
